Focus 📸

23rd March 2020
In the midst of the storm,
Do not focus on the things around you that are flying off.
Focus on God because in every situation, He is always doing something new.
The problem is not what’s happening;
The earthquake shouldn’t draw all your attention.
The strong wind shouldn’t draw all your attention.
The fire explosions shouldn’t draw all your attention.
Rather, focus on the still voice that follows after the noise.
Focus on your God, your Master and see what He is going to do.
Wait on God.
“Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the LORD.” And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.”
I Kings 19:11-12 NKJV
God is very good at making ways where there are no ways.
God is very good at doing things exceedingly abundantly above what we ask, think or imagine.
He is ultimately good at blowing our minds with miracles, wonders and signs.
As people of God, when storms arise, we shouldn’t give it our full attention but let it be joy 😃 and let it make us curious to see how God, the Almighty and Most High God, is going to tackle this in a very smart way 🤤 to a 100%, with no mistake or delay.
God deserves our attention.
In every situation that arises, He is up to something,
And He always up to something great.
So, let’s wait upon Him to act in the storm by focusing on Him, on His Word, on His promises, on His Love and on His authenticity in always bringing out something beautiful, perfect, wonderful out of a mess.
Look at yourself today and Jump back to 5 years ago or to when you didn’t know Jesus.
What were you like? Where were you heading? In a pit of fire 🔥.
But today, here you are, standing like you’ve never fallen, jumping like you’ve never been broken, boldly walking through the fire, the waters and coming out of them Stronger 💪🏿
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.”
Isaiah 43:2 NKJV
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”
Psalms 23:4 NKJV
{Also read Psalm 136}
Fire has no power over you 🔥!
Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego went through the fire and came out of it without even the smell of fire on them. Trust your God, He is a more devouring fire (Daniel 3).
Waters have no power over you 🌊!
Look at Jonah; though the storm was raging, and he ended up being thrown to the sea and swallowed by a fish, he safely reached his destination (Jonah 1, 2).
Look at Israel, when the Red Sea was obstructing their path and they were becoming desperate, what happened? God made a dry path right in the middle of the sea by dividing the waters in two when Moses raised up his hands (Exodus 14).
Sometimes, we see hard situations arising and we think they are going to destroy us or leave us with wounds and scratches but where we see death, God sees life and He uses the same storms to get us to our destinies. All we got to do sometimes, is raise up our hands like Moses and wait for God to divide the sea in two as He promised.
We have to recognise and acknowledge the Faithfulness and Power of God, who created everything by His Mighty Hand and Word. He made the waters, the fire, the seas, the storms, the winds, the mountains, the valleys and every other thing. Those things instantly obey to the Creator; they can’t do anything to you without His authorisation.
Focus on the Master and wait for Him to amaze you; it’s way more interesting than focusing on your storm ❄️🌪
“Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth, And put perverse lips far from you. Let your eyes look straight ahead, And your eyelids look right before you. Ponder the path of your feet, And let all your ways be established. Do not turn to the right or the left; Remove your foot from evil.”
Proverbs 4:23-27 NKJV
Be strong in the Lord 💪🏿
Hallelujah !
