🌸“That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭2:5‬ ‭KJV🌸

Many people think they have faith but in reality, they are taking God’s grace for granted. Read this article to know more about “the difference between having faith and taking things for granted”, and share with your people to raise awareness. God bless you.

•TAKING SOMETHING FOR GRANTED:

“To never think about something because you believe it will always be available or stay exactly the same” (definition from Cambridge Dictionary).

It is assurance of the future about something due to routine activities we do, due to our own efforts/works or logic, or due to something we usually/normally have or receive from someone (and/or from many people).

Believing we got it all together because we’re doing the right thing/we’re righteous. It is based on facts/on The Law, on a sequence of activities to be fulfilled or carried out, or on a behavior to be adopted for ensuring something is running.

•HAVING FAITH (ref. Hebrews 11:1):

Assurance of the future about something due to what The Lord has already done; “It is finished” (John 19:30); firm assurance and conviction based on the heart of God and His love for us that makes us rest knowing that all will always work for our good and in our favour.

It is gratefulness and a humble acceptance of whatever comes due to the unmerited/undeserved favor and mercy manifested at the cross, and fear for the extreme power of God that overcame everything for us.

•> Having Faith is assurance and boldness. Taking for granted is pride and boasting.

•> Faith is based on The Truth. Taking for granted is based on facts or logic.

•>❗️Facts change, but Truth doesn’t. This is why faith abides, but the world passes away [1 Corinthians 13:13, 1 John 2:16-17].

When something we were used to changes, we are shaken. But when it comes to something we have faith about, because it is based on The Truth, even when things change, we stand firm; because it’s not based on facts that change, but on the unseen that never changes (since it has never been seen).

No matter which way things go, in the end, The Word of God always comes to pass.

“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In our walk with Christ, we are called to walk by faith and not by sight. No matter how well the situation is going or how bad the situation might go, we are not meant to look at the visible things of this world but to rather look at the unseen, the invisible; in other words, keep the faith. We are called to always gaze at Jesus (Colossians 3:1-2) and to be attached to Him, and NOT to this world that passes away. Things change, the world shakes, things get upside-down and confused, but The Lord Jesus is the same today, yesterday and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

Faith is the assurance, the boldness, the evidence of the unseen (Hebrews 11:1). It is a proof for what we haven’t seen or received yet. It is the assurance; it is what makes us settle and know we are sons and daughters of God before we even got to see Him face to face (John 1:12-13).

Living this life for Jesus requires one thing; to always gaze at Him, the unseen, the invisible which will soon be manifested, and once He is manifested, we will be as He is, and we shall live in the fullness of His Presence (1 John 3:2).

🗝Faith is key. Looking at Jesus is key. Keeping our eyes on Christ is key.🔑

“Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭4:25-27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Amen.

God bless you 🌹🤍
