If you fall, get up ! ✊🏿

Hello brethren 🤗! I hope you are doing good. We thank the Lord for the new year that has been granted to us. Many have given up last year, many passed away, many are in hospitals, others in war and being persecuted but you and me, we are still breathing and alive. That’s a great reason to thank Jesus ✨
It’s always an opportunity to see a new day. How much more is it of greater significance to be given the grace of seeing a new year! The grace of God is not to be taken for granted for we do not deserve this life but it is a gift from the Almighty. We ought to thank God really. He has been so faithful to us 🙌🏿.
A new year is a new beginning. It is the time to make new resolutions, to plan ahead for, by God’s grace, achieving our dreams and goals. It is the time to open a new chapter and make a change for provoking our so desired destinies and dreams.
Many, in the beginning of the year, decide to break cycles and addictions, to change their behaviour, to overcome their greatest fears; to start afresh briefly. But making the decision and planning ahead doesn’t mean you’re going to wake up with everything already in place for your new year’s restoration plan.
*Transformation is a process* ✨ and it takes time. For becoming a better you, it requires patience and perseverance. Did you know it actually takes more time to build than to destroy? That is why it is always harder to break a bad habit than to just do worse.
Destruction doesn’t require much. For destroying a building, one man can just press a button for triggering a wreckling ball and boom 💥 everything is down. But for building, there will be several meetings, looking for the government’s approval, land surveys, raising funds, checking equipment, hiring labor etc… and the building itself can take several months or even years before completion.
For destroying a soul, one single word is enough. But for building up somebody, it will require love, patience and some strong knees to call upon God.
Restoration or renewal requires much time. So, as people who have been given the opportunity to step in a brand new year, let’s begin this year with ambition, determination but also patience and perseverance.
Breaking an addiction, bad habit or changing your lifestyle doesn’t happen in the crossover night. For the prophecy to be accomplished, there has to be a prophetic work in progress. There has to be a change in mindset.
Many people start the year with great goals and very high expectations, believing that the year is going to be theirs. Unfortunately, some give up quickly because of one failure… Or perhaps two or three.
“Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”
~ Hebrews 10:38
God calls us to walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). Why is that? This is simply because the path is not straight and smooth but filled with obstacles. This may be very frustrating and if we base our hopes on what we see, we might end up thinking that it is impossible to change. We then lose the faith, and decide to sink back in the dirty waters of sin, addiction, bad behaviour, discouragement and so on.
The Bible says that the wicked are the ones that fall, that sink to rise no more. But the just fall and get up. God is encouraging us and telling us to not give up, for giving up is for the wicked.
Those who have faith do not give up because they fail, for their hope is not based on what they do but on who God is. When you keep pressing, God makes a way to your deliverance and breakthrough.
But those who give up because it’s not working, those who decide to turn back to their old ways because change is not coming, are wicked 🤷🏾♀️. The just lives by faith, and faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things *not seen* (Hebrews 11:1).
Faith doesn’t come when things start working out. Faith comes when the storm wind is still blowing, when only ruins are left out. Faith is seeing beauty in ashes. It is seeing a prosperous future in failure. And it is that same faith that will make things start to work out.
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.”

We all have things we struggle with. Some struggle with anger, drugs, alcohol, gossip, disobedience, laziness, pride, hatred, fear etc. No one is perfect and in the eyes of God, sin is sin and we all need to be restored by the blood of Jesus and renewed by His word.
At every stage of life, as we grow, we fight with something. Maybe the battle is not as intense as that of the one fighting addiction but any evil seed, if left in the heart, can bear wickedness in you and lead you astray.
“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”
~ I John 1:7
What God requires from us is to be sincere with Him. Walking in the light is doing things in the sight of God, confessing your sins, refusing to hide anything from Him. It is walking and pressing on, moving forward by faith, with prayer, patience and determination, and if we walk in that way, the blood of Christ that removes sins will cleanse us and make us new.
This year, don’t allow anyone to tell you that you can’t make it. Don’t let the number of failures discourage you. Don’t let the devil mock you but stand up in boldness. And if you fall, GET UP ! ✨🏋️🏾♀️
