What truly matters to Him ❤️

Today if the devil is in hell, it is not because he went off key during a worship service in Heaven. What truly matters to God is not the rendered service, but rather the heart of the servant during the service.
“How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit.”
Isaiah 14:12-15 NKJV
Lucifer’s heart went astray and though his lips were praising God, his thoughts were envying His Throne of Glory. Despite His awesome voice and his stand out from all the other angels, God knocked him out of Heaven. Why? Because what truly mattered to God was not his service, but his heart.
“Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen, saying: “ ‘Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the LORD!’ Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.” But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.””
Luke 19:37-40 NKJV
As He was entering Jerusalem and the praise of the inhabitants was rising up in loud voices, the unhappy pharisees request to Jesus to rebuke His disciples. The Lord, unbothered by their complaints, replies simply that if the disciples keep silent, the stones will cry out in their place.
There are 2 things we can learn from these Holy Scriptures:
1. Our praise does not add to The Glory of God, it only testifies of It. God was, is and will always be Glorious and whether we praise Him or not, creation itself already exalts Him entirely.
2. What made glad the heart of Jesus at that time was not the waving of the palm branches or the ‘Hosanna’ chants. What really pleased The Lord was the rejoicing with which the people were celebrating Him. It didn’t matter to Him that they kept quiet or shouted louder since His delight was in their hearts that were joyful in His Presence.
What makes God glad is to see Us singing His praises because for Him, we are more than just creatures among many others. We were specifically created for Him, for His Love, for His Glory (Isaiah 43:7).
All this to say:
God loves You, not your works. God is after You, not after your sacrifices. God’s most precious treasure is Your Heart, not your money, offerings or tithe. What you do for The Lord is not what touches His heart, but the simple fact that it is You doing it for Him makes it so valuable to His sight.
The works that we do can be done by anybody, even by mere stones! Fasting, praying, kneeling down, paying your tithe, helping the needy, visiting the sick and the prisoners, waking up early, sleeping late, reading the Bible; all these things are not impressive before God.
“Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep.”
Psalms 127:1-2 NKJV
God knows better. He knows Perfection, He is Perfection and there is nothing new and great that we will ever do that He has not yet seen or that He Himself did not create.
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
Ephesians 2:10 NKJV
To conclude, if you’re seeking for justification before God in your works, you’re on the wrong path. Get back to The Truth. Your heart is what matters the most to God.
“Listen, O daughter, Consider and incline your ear; Forget your own people also, and your father’s house; So the King will greatly desire your beauty; Because He is your Lord, worship Him.”
Psalms 45:10-11 NKJV
God doesn’t want anything from you if it is not from your heart. You can keep your works and sacrifices to yourself if you’re not willing to surrender all to Him. All He wants is You, nothing else; that is what matters to Him.
“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.”
John 4:23 NKJV
True worship comes from the heart. Think about it.
