Yes to love ❤️

There is a difference between being saved and walking in God’s will. Being saved is receiving Christ Jesus in your heart as Your Master and Savior. Walking in God’s will is obeying His Word. Obedience results from Salvation and not vice versa.
Obedience doesn’t lead to salvation, Salvation leads to obedience. The accumulation of good works (helping the poor, giving your tithes, etc…) will not lead you to salvation. Remember the story of the rich young ruler who said he had kept God’s commandments from his youth? [Mark 10: 17-22]
He thought he would be granted eternal life because he did everything that had to be done according to the Law. But he was mistaken. Even the disciples of Jesus were astonished to see that Jesus didn’t consider that man, who appeared to be “perfect”, worthy of the Kingdom of God [Mark 10:24-26]. They were so shocked that they wondered and said: “Who then can be saved?”
Many people think that doing this and that will take them to heaven and so. Or that having a certain behaviour will guarantee you eternal life. Pharisees for example thought they were “holy” because of their attitude but Jesus told them: “… but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains” [John 9:41]. They relied on their own strength and works, and on what appeared to be “right”, which is a wrong mindset.
Verse 27 in chapter 10 of the book of Mark says : “But Jesus looked at them (the disciples) and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”
Here, the Word of God is clear. It says with men it is impossible; meaning that whatever man does cannot lead him to salvation; but not with God, for with God all things are possible. Salvation is a gift from God. Jesus Christ shade His blood for cleansing us from our sins, for saving us, for introducing us to Eternal life. Not because we deserved it but because He loved/loves us. Gifts are freely given. A gift offered with intentions of being paid back is not a gift; it is business.
Salvation is a free gift. But free doesn’t mean that it has no value. In fact, it is precious and no treasure can compare to it. And as it is precious, we have to keep it and watch over it jealously, because the thief came to steal, kill and destroy [John 10:10].
How do we watch over it? By obeying the Word of God ♥️.
Salvation is different from obedience, but they walk hand in hand 🤝. Salvation comes first, obedience follows.
I used to think that my salvation % was determined by the level of my obedience towards God but I came to understand that it is my obedience that depends on my salvation. Before getting saved, I couldn’t please/obey God. But since I got saved, I started walking in His will, obeying His word, being transformed, little by little, step by step.
In other words :
I do not obey for being saved. I obey because I was saved ❤️
Salvation opens a door to obedience.
Salvation is entering the will of God. Obedience is walking or remaining in the will of God 📌 Chosen de Yeshoua
Salvation was completed when I received Christ in my life. My obedience, in contrary is not fixed. It grows, it is in progress. Salvation doesn’t depend on me. It comes from God. But obedience is my responsibility, my choice, my decision.

Salvation triggers Obedience.
What’s the relationship between them?
Both salvation and obedience are expressions of LOVE. They are both proofs of love, they just differ in that:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”

🌸 Obedience : Proof of my/your love for God.
“If you love Me, keep My commandments”
~ John 14:15
Obedience is a response to salvation. The Bible in 1 John 4:19 says “We love Him because He first loved us.”
Salvation is the action ⚗️,
Obedience is the reaction🧪.
When we get saved, we receive God’s love in our hearts. God loves us and He proved it through His sacrifice on the cross. If we fail to obey, it will not influence God’s love for us in anyway. God still loves us. Instead, it questions our love/commitment for/to God. Obedience is my responsibility, it is your responsibility.
Disobeying/Refusing to walk in God’s will doesn’t push God to give up on you. Instead it is you giving up on Him and when it goes too far, He just lets go because God is gentle and He won’t force you to obey Him. He wants it to come from your heart. Obedience is love, it has to come from the heart 🤷🏾♀️. It is walking in the love of God.

Obeying keeps us in God’s will. Obedience is for our own good. Obedience puts us in position for our blessings. Obedience leads us to our purpose.
For knowing the depth of God’s Love, we need to know Christ. Christ is God’s word. Hence, we need to know the Word of God for knowing God’s love. We need to walk in God’s Word to feel His love. We obey because He saved us, because of His love, His faithfulness towards us, and for drawing closer to Him. We obey as a response to God’s love. We say Yes to His love when we obey ❤️
“… that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”
